Today the Decorah Summer Project to support the eventual church plant officially begins. People are arriving. The rental is set up. Plans are set.
Our kickoff events can be summarized in one phrase, "Let's eat!"
Saturday (5/23)- BBQ at the farm house (Val’s place), around 5:30pm
Sunday (5/24)- morning service & lunch- at Phelps park, 10am
Sunday (5/24)- BBQ or pizza or something at Andy’s house followed by an orientation meeting, around 5:30pm
Monday (Memorial Day- 5/25)- picnic at Dunning Springs, around 1pm
You are warmly invited to any or all of these events!
Now, more than any time else, we need God's Presence and blessing. I was inspired by this verse yesterday:
“Then Moses said to him, "If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?" Exodus 33:15-15
Pray for us. Participate with us. Together we will advance God's Kingdom to the very ends of the earth.
